Vietjet Redcliffe KiteFest is back on 20 and 21 September 2025 with a fresh format that puts the magic of kite flying front and center - and entry is now completely FREE!
Pack a picnic rug and head to Pelican Park during the two days of colour, movement and spectacular displays by some of the world’s best kite flyers, including massive inflatable and artistic kites soaring high above the foreshore.
This year’s festival is all about getting back to what made KiteFest iconic: a joyful celebration of community, connection and the sky. Families can enjoy food trucks, a public fly zone, kids' kite-making workshops and plenty of open space to watch and wonder.

Ausbuild Kite Flying Arena
Redcliffe KiteFest is renowned for delivering world-class kite displays and will once again play host to a huge group of international and domestic kite flyers, including the amazing Redcliffe Kite Club in the Ausbuild Kite Flying Arena.
Each day from 10am-4pm the sky will fill with kites of all shapes and sizes as the world’s best kite flyers show their stuff.
