Karen King

An award-winning and self-taught artist, Karen King has taught painting and drawing since 1990. She has exhibited in numerous galleries across southeast Queensland and in Brisbane. "Teaching and painting are my passion and my philosophy is that you do not need to be 'gifted' or have a 'natural ability' to create beautiful art.” Karen believes that art is all about experimentation, discovery, creativity and engaging what’s different. She loves the relaxation and creativity of art making. "Art makes my heart sing."

Tricia Taylor

Moreton Bay's multi-award-winning master pastellist, Tricia Taylor, loves to tell the story of light with her artworks. Light has always fascinated her, because of its many meanings and its significance in life. The impressionistic style of realism and treatment of light bring life and movement to Tricia’s pieces. Working in oils and watercolour as well as pastels, Tricia has received awards in landscape, seascape, still life, floral and portrait categories. Her artwork and workshops are in demand within Australia and overseas.
